A New Outlook
Outlook has some new tricks up its sleeve in this revision. For one thing, there is now a Ribbon to expose its many features.
A Conversation View (see Figure 4) lets you expand any message that is part of a thread to see all of the messages that pertain to the one that was clicked (you click a small arrow to its left).
Figure 4 Conversation view lets you follow an email thread.
Quick Steps, at the top of the Outlook Home tab, lets you assign processes to its preset icons for sending email to specific individuals and other common tasks, or create your own new Quick Steps.
When you use Outlook mail, you can now also add Themes and Colors to your messages. The New Contact Group feature in Contacts is basically a new way to create a named distribution list from your address book(s).
Finally, Outlook now has a number of ways to share your calendar online by publishing it to Windows Live and sending an email message to those with whom you want to share your appointments and meetings.
