Show Web Inspector
The Web Inspector is where most of the power of the Safari Develop menu is hidden. For those of you familiar with FireBug, this is where all the equivalent Safari features are accessed.
When you click on the Show Web Inspector menu item, Safari's content window is split into two panes, with the Web Inspector appearing in the bottom pane (see Figure 5). You can resize the Web Inspector by clicking and dragging the grey separator bar up or down.
Figure 5 The Web Inspector
The Web Inspector consists of five tabs: Elements, Resources, Scripts, Profiles, and Databases. We'll briefly cover the features of each of these features. There is also a "search" field for locating various types of web content, depending on which tab you are currently viewing.
