Multi-function devices can use the new Device Stage feature (available with Windows 7-specific device drivers) to provide unparalleled access to the device's functions, such as scan actions, ink levels, printer properties, and driver updates, as with the Epson multi-function device shown in Figure 8.

Your devices might not be supported by Device Stage right away but over time, Device Stage, along with Devices and Printers, will make device management in Windows 7 far easier than with Windows XP.
