Storing Clips on the Shelf
When you click the Clips button, you see the Shelf. The Shelf is a series of "boxes." You can store a single clip within each box (see Figure 3.6). When you want to work with a particular clip, click it. The clip becomes selected (it is highlighted in the Shelf and displayed in the Monitor). When you want to add a clip to your movie, you drag it from the Shelf to the Clip Viewer.

On each clip, you see its title and duration (also in the timecode format).
