Working with Tools on the Tools Palette
Just above and at the right end of the viewers is the Tools palette (see Figure 3.5). This palette contains five sets of tools. When you click one of the buttons on the palette, the tools related to that effect appear so that you can use them (in Figure 3.5, you see the Transitions tools).

The following sets of tools appear on the Tools palette:
Clips—Used to store clips on the Shelf
Transitions—Used to add transitions between clips
Titles—Used to add text to your movie
Effects—Enables you to add visual effects to your clips
Audio—Enables you to add sound effects, narration, and music
Later in the book, you learn how each of these tool sets work.
