Agile Adoption Cheat Sheet
Introduction
We adopt new practices in the hopes of improving the way we build software. As experience with Agile software development grows many organizations are looking for ways to successfully adopt Agile practices. It is important to note, however, that the word success is a relative one – success with respect to what? When you or I hear that an organization “adopted Agile successfully” we should ask: what value did that company get from adopting Agile? If we can’t answer that question, then the success is questionable and may not be legitimate.
This cheat sheet can be used as a stand-alone guide for crafting an Agile adoption strategy or as a companion to Agile Adoption Patterns: A Roadmap for Organizational Success to choose which practices to adapt, monitor their success in delivering your goals, and adapting (or even dropping) those practices to fit your environment.
