Sundance Channel
Sundance Channel (50, 181, 38)
Great for those who can’t make it to the real-world Sundance Film Festival. Grab some virtual popcorn and enjoy some of the best independent movies in a new way. They routinely screen new movies and offer Q&A sessions with some of the biggest names in the business.
To get the most of your experience, you’ll want to make sure you are set up to stream video in Second Life. To do so access the Preferences window from the “Edit” pull-down menu. Under the “Audio & Video” tab make sure “Play Streaming Video” is checked. When video is available, you’ll see a small film strip icon in the bottom right of the screen. Next to this is the Play button which will start the video.
The Sundance Cafe (or store) is a nice place to hang out and enjoy a virtual cup of coffee.
Showcasing upcoming films on the Sundance Channel, this location offers two rooms with streaming video.
