Moving through Time with the History Panel
To many, it may well be a welcome sigh of relief followed by "About time." What am I talking about? Flash now has a History panel. For most designers, you will be used to using a History tool of some type—they have been mainstays for many graphics programs for years. Now, Flash MX 2004 can join the ranks of tools that have a History panel.
The History panel is a useful tool that enables you to move back and forth through changes and modifications you have made to a document. One of the powerful features of the tool allows you to capture a series of moves and save them as a command. Later, you can go to your Command menu and choose to replay a series of moves, which can include creating a shape, filling the shape, and then saving the shape as a movie clip; or applying an action to an keyframe.
