Installing the Product Information library
Before you can view the product documentation, you must install the DB2 HTML documents using these steps:
Double-click on the setup.exe icon located in the DOC folder. This launches the IBM DB2 Setup Launchpad.
Click the Install Products option to open the Select the Product you Would Like to Install dialog box. Click DB2 HTML Documentation. Click Next to continue.
On the Welcome to DB2 Setup Wizard dialog box, click Next to continue.
On the Select the Installation Action dialog box, choose the Install DB2 HTML Documentation on this Computer option and click Next to continue.
On the Select the HTML Documentation Components that you Want to Install dialog box, you can choose the books that you want to install on your system. If you have unlimited disk space, it is recommended to install all the HTML books. This is the default. The entire set of books requires 141 MB of free disk space. Choose a destination folder and click Next to continue.
On the Select Languages to Install dialog box, you can select one or more language options for the HTML documentation. For the purposes of this book, leave the default language selected and click Next to continue.
On the Start Copying Files dialog box, you are shown a complete list of the HTML documents that will be installed on your computer. Click Install to continue.
The Setup Is Complete dialog box appears when the installation of the HTML documents is complete. Click Finish to continue. You do not need to reboot your computer after installation.
