Solution 1: Some packages on the companion CD-ROM for Slackware Unleashed are corrupted. Finish installing Slackware by ignoring the errors. When you are finished with the installation, you will be prompted if you want to set a root password. Select no. When asked to do so, exit the install program and use CTRL-ALT-DEL to reboot your computer. Remember to remove the install disc before your computer restarts.
The official home page of Slackware is http://www.slackware.com. On this home page you will find links to different mirror sites that hold all of the files for the Slackware distribution. Walnut Creek CD-ROM is an official mirror of the Slackware distribution. You may access their FTP site by clicking on ftp://wcarchive.cdrom.com. You will find the files in /pub/linux/slackware-current. Download the files you need to install and use the package tool (pkgtool) to install the downloaded files.
Question 2: While using the installation software I get an error message on about 25% of the files on the CD.
I also got a few messages that files are missing from the CD (Le.tgz for instance).
