The lesson goes into the types of design patterns that exist in Objective-C and why they are important to understanding the language as a whole. Then, viewers are shown how to implement the Singleton design pattern in Objective-C, which is one of the most commonly used design patterns. After that, viewers learn about the Delegate pattern and the Observer pattern.
