" Bloody marvelous." -- Tony "honestpuck" Williams, http://www.honestpuck.com , http://books.honestpuck.com and Slashdot.org book review contributor
"To get the most from your web surfing experience using these programs, Firefox & Thunderbird Garage will help you master these programs in no time."-- Reviewed by David James Rockingham III, for "Digital Producer Magazine" Please click here for the complete review.
"Whether you use Windows, Mac OS 10.1, or Linux, this book is for you. Detailed explanations of browser and email features, why you want them and how to use them, make this a great how-to tutorial as well as an excellent desktop reference." -- Iris Yoffa, Tucson Computer Society Internet SIG Leader
"An interesting, informative and beneficial book concerning two alternative programs which will enable safe, productive, and free surfing and emailing. What have I got to lose from switching to Firefox and Thunderbird? ...spyware, spam, popups, digital annoyances?!" -- Reviewed by Dick Evans, Greater Tampa Bay PC User Group, member of Ass'n for PC Users Group (APCUG); www.apcug.net .
"Exactly what the "mechanic" ordered! An excellent book, well worth the read! Converting to Firefox was essentially seamless, so I never felt the need to read up on anything. Well, now I'm armed and dangerous, and Firefox is tuned up to a "T." What did it take? A couple of hours of reading (mostly during television commercials) and then about another hour to implement all the neat stuff I learned. Thanks to the Firefox & Thunderbird Garage, my security settings are tweaked, my Bookmarks ordered, and my search techniques oh-so-refined. A Firefox Bookmarks Folder is now on both machines, including RSS feeds (ooh, I get all quivery just saying that). I've installed extensions such as AdBlock (which filters images and banner ads), Magpie (which downloads in bulk) and the Googlebar (not just for IE any more). The book also motivated me to begin using Thunderbird instead of Outlook Express as my e-mail client. I should have done this long ago; it's incredibly easy, and reading the Firefox & Thunderbird Garage was the impetus I needed." -- Reviewed by Donna C. Kamper, Editor/Publisher, Tucson Computer Society Journal , www.aztcs.org , www.apcug.net
"Many computer books simply put you to sleep with their hard-to-read technical
data, their lack of screen-shots, and their material that does not pertain to
the average user. But the new book: FIREFOX & THUNDERBIRD GARAGE gives the
common computer user a breath of fresh air. I found this book to be a very readable
one, with tons of illustrations, tips, and extremely useful reference guides
that helped me fine-tune and utilize these programs to their fullest potential.
And all written for the average computer user. It is a must have for anyone
interested in FIREFOX and THUNDERBIRD." -- Greg West, Editor - Sarnia Computer

"Please forward onto the authors that from what I've read so far this
is a great book! It even taught me a few things, and I've been religiously using
Firefox since it was in beta. I'm very much looking forward to reading this
book in-depth to see what other gems Firefox and Thunderbird are hiding from
me!" -- John L. Berger, Senior Editor, Books and Software Reviews, Bityard
Magazine, www.bityard.com
"As a Mac user, I don't have the same need for a secure browser, but I use Firefox occasionally, partly because it is so hackable - there are dozens of extensions you can add to it, and that makes it one of the most powerful browsers out there. This book has shown me a lot about these extensions, and taught me much more about what I can do with Firefox; I've discovered many nooks and crannies that only the real connoisseurs know. Thanks to Hofmann, Knous and Hedtke for sharing their profound knowledge of the program in this great book." -- Kirk McElhearn, author of iPod & iTunes Garage, www.mcelhearn.com
"I have already found a number of very helpful tips for both Firefox and Thunderbird. I have been a user of both programs for 4 months, and this book could have been written just for me." -- Joe Zagar, V ice-president & Webmaster, Sunland Village East Computer Club
"I was so impressed with what I read, that I switched default browsers from Safari to Firefox." -- Mary E. Tyler, writer for MacAddict.com and NewsForge.com
