Bo Begole is Principal Scientist at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), the famed innovation center credited with inventing laser printing, Ethernet, graphical user interfaces, and the laptop. He currently manages PARC’s Ubiquitous Computing Area, a computer science team that invents and commercializes novel Ubicomp technologies. Previously, he worked at Sun Microsystems Laboratories creating systems to facilitate global collaboration and sensor networks. Begole has chaired committees crossing the fields of Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Supported Cooperative Work; and served on committees in Ubiquitous Computing, Intelligent User Interfaces, User Interface Software and Technology, and Pervasive Computing.
