Gabriel Oancea has more than 16 years of experience in software development, mostly in object-oriented analysis and design. He has designed and developed medium- and large-scale distributed applications in a number of languages, including C++, Visual Basic, and Java. Recently, he has focused on distributed systems architecture as a chief architect at ONTOS, Inc. He is the author of a number of patents and publications, including Visual Basic 6 from Scratch, Que, 1999 (with Bob).
Bob Donald has more than 13 years of experience designing and building standalone applications, client/server applications, and enterprise applications. He is a proponent of the use of UML during the analysis and design phases of software development and has broad experience working with various languages, such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, and Java. Bob has also been a guest speaker at the Connecticut Object Oriented Users Group, Microsoft TechNet, and in the Boston area COM Users Group. At ArsDigita, Bob is currently engaged in the architecture and design of their new collaborative workspace enterprise application.
