Dr. Eric Cole
Dr. Eric Cole is an industry-recognized security expert, technology visionary and scientist with over 15 year's hands-on experience. Dr. Cole currently performs leading edge security consulting and works in research and development to advance the state of the art in information systems security. Dr. Cole has over a decade of experience in information technology, with a focus on perimeter defense, secure network design, vulnerability discovery, penetration testing, and intrusion detection systems. Dr. Cole has a Masters in Computer Science from NYIT and Ph.D. from Pace University with a concentration in Information Security. Dr. Cole is the author of several books to include
Hackers Beware, Hiding in Plain Site, Network Security Bible and Insider Threat. He is also the inventor of over 20 patents, and is a researcher, writer, and speaker for SANS Institute and faculty for The Institute for Applied Network Security. Dr. Cole has a wealth of knowledge from industry, academia, and government and has assisted with many key projects. He is a Lockheed Martin Fellow and a frequently invited speaker at a variety of conferences and security events.
Omar Fink
Omar Fink works for SAIC, assigned as a technical advisor to a Veterans Affairs security inspection team. He started out in the days of mainframes and punch cards, and, with over twenty years of professional computer experience, has managed a technical support department, performed many database operations, survived code red and nimbda in a
web hosting data center, developed Lotus Notes applications, worked in an intrusion detection watch office for a large enterprise, and participated in security inspections at facilities across the country. Now specializing in security, he holds GCIH, GAWN and GCIA certifications from SANS, is a member of the SANS advisory board, and spends too much time gazing intently at wireless packets.
Chris Patterson
Chris Patterson is the Senior Security Consultant at MTM Technologies, a nationwide provider of IT Consulting and Integration services. He has worked in the Information Security industry for over 10 years, and is a member of several IT organizations. Chris currently holds enough certifications to account for all but 7 letters of the alphabet.
William Salusky
In addition to his technical pursuits which include Forensics (filesystem and network), Honeynet technologies, IDS, Incident Response, and all around miscreant/hacker tracking, William is a handler with the Internet Storm Center, a Honeynet Project member, as well as a self-styled social commentary humorist with a sidebar specialization in security.
