Plotting the Distribution
The final step is to plot the frequency distribution. I like to use a column chart for frequency distributions, but you can use various other Excel chart types as well. The resulting chart is shown in Figure 3. Of course, you would want to change the X axis labels to reflect the bin values, but that’s an easy matter.

Plots such as this one give a quick and useful overview of the data. You can gain insight into your information that’s not available via other analysis methods.
