Get Organized!
I swear that the Print dialog boxes were designed by a committee. Never mind what’s in the dialog boxes, I am talking about how they are organized. It’s sort of like my garage, and that’s not good! Surely it would not be too much trouble to put related items together? Here are a few of my gripes:
- The Manual Duplex option is in the Print dialog box near the top, but the other duplex options are at the bottom of the Options dialog box.
- Options for including document properties, field codes, hidden text, and other elements are in one section in the Options dialog box, whereas settings for including markup are totally separate in the Print dialog box.
- Why on earth is the paper tray setting in the same section as the form data option, not with other paper-related settings?
People may have gotten used to the current arrangement of the print-related dialog boxes, but that’s no reason not to make improvements. And honest, I will clear out the garage soon!
