Gotchas to Watch Out For
When you rent your music, you do need to remember one thing: When you close your account, you lose the right to listen to all the music you have rented. If you have a large music collection you're renting, you'll be tied to the company you purchased the music through.
Another gotcha is that you can't burn rented music to CDs. In addition, it is almost impossible to use the music in creative projects such as PhotoStory or Windows Movie Maker.
Finally, I can't use Windows Media DRM 10 music on my iPod. This is a huge problem. During the last quarter alone, 5.2 million iPods were sold, and not one of them can listen to Windows Media DRM 10 music.
