Sony Clie PEG-VZ90 PDA/Media Player
Sony Japan has just unveiled the (see Figure 7), an impressive-looking portable media player–like Palm PDA that combines a 3.8-inch OLED display, 802.11b connectivity, and support for MPEG-1/4 video, JPEG photos, and ATRAC3 and MP3 audio. Unfortunately, Sony misguidedly has given the device the wrong price (way too high—around $850) and limited media-playback functionality.
Message to Sony: Throw in a hard drive and drop the price $300 and you might have a winner—as it is, it's a hard sell.
Feature highlights:
3.8-inch OLED (480x320) screen with 65,536 colors

64MB RAM
NetFront v3.1 Internet browser
Memory stick and compact flash compatible
