Business Contact Manager
Business Contact Manager (BCM) is a new add-on for Outlook 2003 that contains forms, reports, and views that should help you manage customers, accounts, leads, prospects, and activities, all in one spot. BCM makes you more productive and efficientthat's its purpose in a nutshell.
We won't show you how to install the product or even use it right here, but there are a few interesting things you'll want to know before deciding whether you want to try it:
Right now the product is still a bit limited. There's no PDA support and it's meant for the single user. You can't integrate or share information.
BCM installs the .NET Compact Framework on your system.
BCM stores data in a Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE) database that BCM installs locally.
BCM supports multiple profiles for those organizations in which more than one person uses the same system.
Appendix B, "Outlook 2003's Business Contact Manager," offers a more in-depth look at using the BCM.
