Summary
Today you studied the different techniques that can be used for debugging applications: debugging, tracing, assertion, and logging. After this, you learned how you can use the logging services provided by WebLogic Server, namely the message catalog framework. You covered how to create a message catalog and use it in applications and components deployed on WebLogic Server, how to view the log files using the Administration Console, and how to use the notification API of WebLogic Server to write custom listeners for different applications deployed in WebLogic Server. Finally, you got an overview of the new Logger API included with JDK 1.4.
Tomorrow you will cover the administration and security features of WebLogic Server.
