Style Menu
The Style menu changes depending on what you have selected: a text box, a picture box, or a line.

Character Attributes
Menu: Style-> Character

Other Size

This is the same as opening the Character Attributes dialog box, and pressing Tab to jump to the Size field.
Paragraph Formats
Menu: Style-> Size-> Formats
Mac: Cmd+Shift+F
Windows: Ctrl+Shift+F
For some reason, Quark assumes that you'll know that Formats means Paragraph Formats. Only beginners select the whole paragraph before applying paragraph formatting—power users just place the cursor anywhere in the paragraph. XPress is smart enough to apply the formatting to the whole paragraph even if only a portion of the paragraph is selected.

Leading
Menu: Style-> Leading

This is the same as opening the Paragraph Formats dialog box and pressing Tab three times to jump to the Leading field.
Tabs
Menu: Style-> Tabs
Mac: Cmd+Shift+T
Windows: Ctrl+Shift+T
This is the same as opening the Paragraph Formats dialog box and switching to the Tabs tab.
Paragraph Rules
Menu: Style-> Rules
Mac: Cmd+Shift+N
Windows: Ctrl+Shift+N
This is the same as opening the Paragraph Formats dialog box and switching to the Rules tab.
Negative
Menu: Style-> Negative
Mac: Cmd+Shift+hyphen
Windows: Ctrl+Shift+hyphen
Negative works only when you have a grayscale or black-and-white TIFF selected in a picture box. It literally turns white into black and black into white.
Contrast
Menu: Style-> Contrast
Mac: Cmd+Shift+C
Windows: Ctrl+Shift+C
The Other Contrast dialog box lets you apply Photoshop-like contrast curves to your TIFF images. However, it's a very blunt instrument, and I can't recommend you use it except for perhaps rough drafts for a client.

Halftone
Menu: Style-> Halftone
Mac: Cmd+Shift+H
Windows: Ctrl+Shift+H
QuarkXPress lets you apply a custom halftone screen to a grayscale TIFF image, which is occasionally useful when creating special effects. In XPress 5, however, you can no longer see what the halftone will look like, which makes this feature especially problematic. I'd just do custom halftones in Photoshop if I were you.
Center Picture
Menu: Style-> Center Picture (XPress 5 only)
Mac: Cmd+Shift+M
Windows: Ctrl+Shift+M
This keyboard shortcut has been in XPress for years, but now it's listed in the Style menu, too.
Fit Picture to Box
Menu: Style-> Fit Picture to Box (XPress 5 only)
Mac: Cmd+Shift+F
Windows: Ctrl+Shift+F
This keyboard shortcut has been in XPress for years, but now it's listed in the Style menu, too. Note that this usually stretches your picture disproportionately, so I rarely use it.
Fit Picture to Box (Proportionally)
Menu: Style-> Fit Picture to Box Proportionally (XPress 5 only)
Mac: Cmd+Option+Shift+F
Windows: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F
This keyboard shortcut has been in XPress for years, but now it's also listed in the Style menu. Remember that when you make a bitmapped graphic larger in Xpress, the image resolution goes down!
