Living with IIS (Never Mind Which Version)
In the interim, NetCraft's statistics indicate that plenty of sites - and the people who make them run - will continue to have to live with IIS in its current (and hopefully, patched) form. As long as those responsible for their sites are willing to monitor them religiously, and to stay tuned for reports of exploits and vulnerabilities, ready to install the patches, fixes, or workarounds that mitigate them, life with IIS will go ahead as what passes for usual these days.
We can only hope that the future of IIS proves to be less labor-intensive and more security-friendly. But again, only time will tell!
