Configuring Hearing Options
Your Samsung S6 or S6 Edge offers several options of use if you have impaired hearing. These are detailed in the following table.

Sound Detectors |
Vibrates the phone when a baby cries or the doorbell rings. |
Flash Notification |
Flashes the camera’s LED flash when you receive notifications or alarms. |
Turn Off All Sounds |
Turns off all of the phone’s sounds. |
Hearing Aids |
Adjusts the phone’s sound quality to work better with hearing aids. |
Samsung Subtitles |
Enables and configures Samsung’s subtitle function. |
Google Subtitles |
Enables and configures Google’s subtitle function, built into the Android operating system. |
Left and Right Sound Balance |
Adjusts the left and right audio balance. |
Mono Audio |
Switch from stereo to mono audio for when you are using a single earphone. |
Auto Haptic |
Vibrates the phone in time when you’re listening to music, watching videos, or playing games. |
Enable Hearing Options
All hearing options are configured on the Hearing screen.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to display the notification panel.
Tap Settings to display the Settings screen.
Scroll to the System section and tap Accessibility.
Tap Hearing to display the Hearing screen.
Tap to enable or configure the options you want.
