i-mode Compatible HTML
The markup language used for i-mode by NTT DoCoMo in Japan is called i-mode compatible HTML, and like cHTML is based on a subset of HTML 2.0, HTML 3.2, and HTML 4.0 specifications. NTT DoCoMo extended it with additional elements and attributes for special use on cell phones for i-mode functionality. Additional functions include the "tel:" attribute, which is used to link a telephone number to allow users to dial a phone call by clicking on a link.
