Setting Wallpaper on Your Handset
Once created, all you have to do is upload the image file to a webserver where your i-mode browser can access it, and then save the image onto your handset to use as your own original creation.
The process is slightly different with various handsets, and may differ significantly with various i-mode service providers. But the basic things remain the same, you have to put it on the Internet so that you can download it onto your phone, and once downloaded you must save it as a file that can be used as a wallpaper image.
If you have your own webserver, or share space on a server with others, you probably have used ftp programs in the past to place images and HTML files on that remote computer. If you don't have access to a web server, you can create your own personal website for free at places like Yahoo.com GeoCities (http://geocities.yahoo.com) where you can upload images through forms on the page-builder section of that site. In either case, upload your wallpaper image to a webserver, and keep a note of the URL for this image file.
Once you know the URL of the image, send this address in the body of a message to your own i-mode email address. When the message is opened, your handset will give you the option to click the link and open the image file.
Once saved, your handset may prompt you with the option to set this image as a wallpaper or screensaver, as shown in Figure 1. Otherwise, the phone will have a menu item to set any of your saved images as the current wallpaper or screensaver.
