Use the Memo Widget
If you want to view a memo quickly, such as a few things to get at the store, you can view your most recent memo within the Memo widget that you place on a Home screen. Add the Memo widget to a Home screen just as you learned how to add any widget in Chapter 5 of My Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. (The Memo widget is on page 5 of the Widgets screen.)
After you add the memo to a Home page, add the memo to the widget by tapping the Memo widget (see Figure 13).
Figure 13 In this example, the Memo widget is in the upper-left corner of the Home page.
The Memo app opens and displays all memos in the category you viewed the last time you used the app. In this example, the Memo app shows the memo in the Second category, as you saw in Figure 12. Tap the memo to open the memo within the Memo widget, as shown in Figure 14.
Figure 14 The memo title appears at the top of the widget followed by the memo text.
If you don't see all the text of the memo in the widget, you can employ one of the following strategies:
- Resize the widget as you learned to do in My Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.
- Swipe up and down within the widget.
- Tap the widget to open the Memo app and view the memo on the entire screen.
Now that you've taken the grand tour of the Memo app and the Memo widget, you can use this powerful tool to write and store important information you can access any time on the Galaxy Tab 4.
