Configure Amazon Application Settings
You can tweak the preinstalled Amazon applications on your Fire phone to your liking by going into the settings. Think of it as going behind the scenes of each application and configuring some overall functionality. For example, you could set the Music app to download only over Wi-Fi to conserve data plan usage, disable in-app purchases in the Amazon Appstore, or decide if your MMS messages (including group messages, photos, and videos) can be sent in the Messaging app.
Tap the Settings icon located in the Carousel or App Grid.
Tap Applications & Parental Controls.
Tap Configure Amazon Application Settings.
Select an Amazon app to configure.
