Adding Layer Styles
Photoshop Elements 13 has many layer styles that you can apply to an image to change the look and style of the image. You need to work between the Layers panel and the Effects panel to apply layer styles. All styles are applied to the entire layer. You can apply as many styles as you need for your image.
Open a photo that has multiple layers in the Photo Editor.
- Click the Expert mode.
- If necessary open the Layers panel by clicking Layers in the taskbar.
- Click to select a layer.
Click Effects in the taskbar to open the Effects panel.
- Click the Styles tab.
- Click the Select a Type menu and choose a style type.
- Double-click a variation of the style type or drag the variation to the preview of the layer image.
