Testing the Watch Application
You’re ready to test the Watch application. First, run it normally as an iPhone application on the iPhone Simulator (select iPhone 6, as shown in Figure 13).

The iPhone Simulator will launch. As you haven’t done any work on the iPhone app, all you see is a empty screen. This is normal. Select the iPhone Simulator and choose Hardware > External Displays > Apple Watch - 38mm (see Figure 14) to launch the Apple Watch Simulator.

The Apple Watch Simulator appear, but you’ll just see a black screen. Back in Xcode, select the HelloAppleWatch Watch App scheme (see Figure 15) and run the application again by pressing Command-R. This time, the Apple Watch application is loaded on the Apple Watch Simulator (see Figure 16).
