Specialty Credit Card Management Apps
Whichever bank or financial institution has issued you one or more credit cards probably offers an app for managing those accounts. Plus, from the App Store, you’ll find apps available from American Express and Discover, for example, that give you the same account management features that you’d otherwise be able to handle from the financial institution’s website.
For example, using your Internet-enabled iPhone or iPad, it’s possible to monitor credit card activity, see your available credit, determine your minimum monthly payment, make payments to your account, and manage the points or rewards associated with a credit card account. You’ll also discover that the American Express app, for example, integrates nicely with the Passbook app that comes preinstalled on your iPhone.
Most people have multiple credit cards. If your cards are issued by the same bank, they can be managed from a single app. However, if you have credit cards issued by a handful of separate financial institutions, it’s typically necessary to install the proprietary app from each institution in order to manage all of your credit card accounts.
