Summary
Konqueror is one of the most versatile parts of KDE. It is also one of the most exciting, not for what it is, but for what it isn't. For all this power, Konqueror itself is mostly just a frame for KParts. It's a very good frame, but it's a frame nonetheless. The real power is the modular nature of KParts, which moves the complexity of displaying all of these things out of Konqueror and into loadable modules. In the future, new KParts can be dropped in without changing Konqueror itself, allowing for content that the Konqueror developers never imagined. Konqueror is, in some ways, the perfect proof that the KDE object model really works.
