Optional Photo Editing Options
By visiting the App Store and checking out the Photo & Video category, you can discover hundreds of third-party apps that you can use with or instead of the Camera and Photos apps to snap, view, organize, edit, enhance, print, and share digital images.
Apple’s own iPhoto app ($4.99), for example, expands the photo editing and enhancement capabilities of the iPhone. For even more powerful photo editing tools, Adobe’s Photoshop Touch app ($4.99, https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/adobe-photoshop-touch/id495716481) includes tools used by professional photographers that you can find in the company’s Photoshop CS 6 software for the Mac and PC.
For example, with Photoshop Touch, you can combine images, add professional effects, incorporate image filters to portions of an image (as opposed to entire images), plus make lighting, contrast, and other visual adjustments that can enhance or alter an image (or a portion of an image) in seconds.
Meanwhile, the $0.99 AfterLight app (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/afterlight/id573116090) includes 15 image adjustment tools, 40 filters, 60 textures, plus other features that can be incorporated into an image in seconds. Edited images can then be saved, printed, or shared via a handful of popular online social networking and photo-related services, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Flickr.
