Editing Your Sidebar Information
You can also customize, to some degree, the content displayed on your channel page. Let's start with the information in the right-hand sidebar.
As noted, you can edit some of this information by clicking the Edit Channel button and selecting the Info and Settings tab. But you can edit more information by doing so directly in the sidebar.
When you've logged into YouTube and navigated to your channel page, click the Edit button at the top right of the sidebar. You can now edit the following:
- About: Otherwise known as the description of your page.
- Social buttons for Google+, Twitter, and Facebook: You can link your YouTube channel to your other social accounts and display "like" buttons for each social network.
- Links: Links to your own web page or blog, as well as any other pages on the web you recommend.
- About This User: A description of your company or product.

You can also opt to show or hide other pieces of content, including the About This User section, when you joined YouTube, your age, hometown, country, occupation, companies, schools, interests, and other channels you like. Most of these items are more appropriate for individuals than companies, so you probably want to hide them.
