Post to Blogs
Microsoft has also added blogging support to Office 2010. Now you can type and publish your blog posts right inside Word 2010. You might find the familiar interface and functionality of Word saves you some time and energy when blogging.
Word 2010 currently supports Windows Live Spaces, Blogger, SharePoint blogs, Community Server, TypePad, WordPress, and other blog services.
To start a blog post in Word 2010, click File, click Save & Send, click the Publish as Blog Post tab, and then click the Publish as Blog Post button, shown in Figure 7.
If you don’t have a blogging account set up, you’ll be prompted to register a blogging account.
You’ll see a spot in which you can type in a title. Below the title you type or paste the text of the post.
Depending upon the blog service, you can also insert images, clipart, shapes, SmartArt, charts, and screenshots.
Figure 8 shows an example posting.
On the Ribbon you’ll see the Publish button, Home Page button to bring up the blog in the web browser, Insert Category button to define which category to publish into, and Open Existing button to edit a previous blog post.
