Q&A
Q. |
Is it necessary to use Leads? Or can we bypass that feature? |
A. |
You can bypass the Leads feature, but you might want to add a source field to either the account or contact to capture where your new accounts or contacts came from. Traditionally, source is part of the Lead entity (record type). |
Q. |
I uploaded a spreadsheet into Leads incorrectly, and I now want to delete everything I uploaded. Is there an easy way to do this? |
A. |
Yes, in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you can select the first lead and the last lead you want to delete and then press the black X. |
Q. |
I did a data import, but all the data in my Excel spreadsheet is not in Leads. What happened? |
A. |
Microsoft Dynamics CRM keeps track of which leads were uploaded and what were failures because of various issues. Under Imports from the Left Navigation Pane, change your view to Completed Imports. Double-click your import to choose it and show more details, including documented failures. |
Q. |
We want our leads to be associated to a specific salesperson depending on the state. Can this be supported? |
A. |
Yes, Microsoft Dynamics CRM supports this scenario by offering users the option to define workflow rules. |
