F# and WCF are two handy tools. F# makes a number of programming tasks easier to complete, because of the strengths of functional languages. WCF allows diverse clients to call code by using standard message-passing mechanisms over a variety of transports. Because both technologies sit on top of the Common Language Runtime (CLR), we can combine them to create interesting, useful solutions.
