If you've upgraded to Logic 8.0.2, step 5 should say “Click the header of the Pressure C-2 lane.”

Problem: In Logic 8.0.1, after completing step 5, the window titled "Add Region to Apple Loops Library" only allows you to create a One-shot loop, and the Loop choice is dimmed (unavailable).
Solution: This is due to a change in the way Logic 8.0.1 handles region lengths. For the "Loop" choice to be available, the region needs to be exactly 2 bars long, as explained in the More Info section on page 265. In 8.0.1, even though your region appears to be 2 0 0 0, it is really only 1 3 3 239. Resize your region while holding Control-Shift: shorten it to 1 3 3 238, then back to 2 0 0 0. Then choose Region > Add to Apple Loops Library. You will now be able to choose "Looped".
