Derek M. Jones spent the first 10 years of his career writing compilers for a variety of languages and processors. For the last 15 years he has been involved with the static analysis of source code. Derek is involved with a number of standards groups and represented the UK at International C Standard's meetings for six years.
He has written a book that contains a detailed analysis of the C language from a variety of view points. This analysis includes a cost/benefit discussion of coding guidelines from an economic and cultural perspective.
